Ecler Nuo 2.0 w/ Eternal Fader Review

So a few months back I picked up an Ecler Nuo 2.0 w/ Eternal Fader for a pretty good price from an overseas company. The Ecler is a nice slimline analog mixer that sounds amazing. Ecler is a Spanish audio equipment manufacture known for the great sound their products maintain throughout their lines. The Nuo 2.0 is no different and although it’s a very basic mixer, it is well built and everything on it feels very high quality.

The Nuo 2.0 is only an analog mixer, so it doesn’t have a USB port to connect it to a computer. If you want to use it with a DJ software, you’ll need to purchase the appropriate soundcard/interface to use it. The Reloop Flux is a good option for the latest version of Serato DJ Pro and for Rekbordbox, the Pioneer interface will work well.

The Eternal Fader is a separate purchase for the Nuo 2.0, but it does support it, which is great. The Eternal is a fader that after most turntablist try it, they tout it as the best fader they’ve ever used. It’s an older fader, but it has stood the test of time. I can confirm it is amazing to use, and I would put it above the Magvel Pro that is on my DJM S11. It’s a buttery smooth fader, and the way it cuts the sound out sounds very good. I believe it uses some type of magnetic induction process, or at least I think that’s what its called.

Overall, I’d say the Ecler Nuo 2.0 is a throwback to older times in djing. Where all the DJ needed was two turntables and a 2 channel mixer. The Nuo 2.0 actually has 3 channels, where you can use a microphone or line source on the third channel. It is nice and slim length-wise, so when you have the turntables butted up against it, it will be very easy to beat juggle between the two. Throw in a DJ software interface and the Eternal fader, and you’ll have an amazing mixer to use with your DVS setup.

The Ecler Nuo 2.0 can be purchased online right now, as can the Eternal Fader. A quick Google search will get you in the right direction and you won’t be disappointed with the purchase of either.
