So I picked up a pair of the Reloop 7000mk2s when they were on sale online for $399 each. They normally go for $499 or even $599 sometimes. I couldn’t miss the deal, as I’ve wanted a pair of them for the longest time now. I needed them for my main DJ setup so I could put my Audio Technica 1240USBXP decks on my secondary setup. I got them and I was pleasantly surprised by them.
The Reloop decks are very well made. They feel sturdy, the tonearm feels great and they look like decks that will last you many years. I got the black painted ones, but they also come in silver. It would be nice if they offered a white colored option, for people who like that aesthetic. The main takeaway is that they are well built and look very nice as decks.
Similar to the Audio Technica decks, they have ultrapitch, a reverse button, and with the Reloops, you can change the torque from high torque, to a more classic “Technics 1200” style torque. If you DJ out a lot and may run into old Technics 1200s out in the wild, I would suggest practicing on classic mode as well so you get a feel for that type of torque.
The 7000mk2s also include speeds of 33.3, 45, and 78rpm. I’ve had them for almost a year now and they perform like the day I got them. I’ve treated them a lot better than I treated my Audio Technica decks, so they’ve held up very well. No broken tonearm clips, no stickers on the decks, etc.
All in all, if anyone told me they were in the market for a turntable for DJing, I would gladly recommend the Reloop 7000mk2s. They are a great, feature-rich turntable with everything you need to get busy and rock a set. They sound amazing and get the job done at the end of the day.
