Innofader PNP 2 review

I first got hip to the Innofader Crossfader when I upgraded my Pioneer DDJ SX2’s crossfader to a mini Innofader PLUS. That crossfader was a lot tighter than the stock crossfader that comes with the SX2 and I’ve been in love with the brand ever since. Fast forward to me receiving my Reloop Elite which includes 3 mini Innofader Pros. Two for the channel volume and one for the crossfader. I decided I wanted to upgrade the crossfader to an even better fader so I found that Audio Innovate makes a version of the PNP 2 that works specifically with the Reloop Elite as well as the Numark Scratch mixer. I bought one and it was even better than the mini Innofader Pro that came with the Elite. It feels buttery smooth out of the box and slides with the greatest of ease. The fader comes with a little tool so you can adjust the tension on the fader, but I left mine at the default it came in because it felt so good. With the Reloop Elite’s utility calibration I am able to get an extremely tight cut with the PNP 2. I have it where as soon as you move the fader toward the other side you get the sound from the opposite deck. I can scratch for hours on this fader and for the year and a half I’ve had it it’s held up under a lot of use. Audio Innovate is known for making reliable top quality faders and the PNP 2 is no different. You have to feel the difference to understand how smooth the fader glides through the groove. I can highly recommend this upgrade to any Reloop Elite or even Numark Scratch owners. Make sure you get the version specifically for those two mixers and you’ll be good to go.
