So the first standard DJ mixer I got was the Numark Scratch, which I’ve reviewed on here. It’s a great mixer, but before getting that I always wanted the Reloop Elite. It looked dope, had huge pads, and all the features I wanted in a DVS mixer for Serato. With the 1st stimulus from Trump, I was able to get an Elite and boy have I gotten my money’s worth. I am on that mixer every day scratching, mixing, and trying to get better at turntablism. It definitely has not been a waste of money. It’s well built and has a ton of features. The pads are the best I’ve seen on any of the modern mixers, and it hits every checkbox in terms of features set. There’s a mic input, and AUX in, XLR outs, Split Cue for the headphones, you can run Serato effects through the sampler, and last but certainly not least is the fact you can use every Serato effect you have with analog vinyl. I do spin analog vinyl and collect it when I can, so being able to use the Serato effects with vinyl is great. It’s really an amazing feature and what made me purchase this mixer over the others on the market. It’s the mixers killer feature in my opinion. The hardware effects of the other mixers pale in comparison. I haven’t had any trouble with the mixer at all, and I’ve upgraded the crossfader in it from a mini Innofader Pro to a full size Innofader PNP2. The PNP2 feels great and works very well. When I look at the markteplace, the mixers with the screens on them like the DJM-S11 look very tempting, but my Reloop Elite is so capable and well done I can’t justify trying to gather and spend that much money on another mixer just for a screen with a few other bells and whistles. The Reloop Elite is definitely slept on in the battle mixer market, but I’m glad I was able to realize it’s worth and quality when I was looking to get a better mixer. I’ve since sold my Numark Scratch as it was just collecting dust, so the Reloop Elite is my only mixer. It’s great and I’d recommend it to any DJ looking to pair it with turntables, Rane 12s, or even CDJs. Thanks for reading and see ya next time!
