KRK Rokit 5 G4 monitors review

So I bought a pair of KRK ROkit 5s on sale at Guitar Center to replace my Pioneer DM 40s. The DM 40s are great, but money was burning a hole in my pocket and I wanted some different speakers. I got the Rokits and as big a leap as it was when I got the DM 40s, that’s how much better the sound was coming from the DM 40s to the Rokits. They sound amazing. They have XLR & one/4th inputs on the back, and they also include an LCD screen where you can adjust the EQing of the individual speakers as well as the volume. They really are nice speakers. I live in a apartment and I think I could host a house party with just these speakers they are that loud. I don’t even turn them up anywhere near as loud as they can go. The bass is punchy and clear. The highs and mids are nice and smooth as well. I prefer to run my with a FLAT EQ setting because I want to hear the music as the producer produced it and I don’t want the speakers to add any coloration. I’d say if you can afford it to get the 8inch Rokits, but the 5s are plenty big and produce a good loud sound. I use these speakers for my DJ setup as well as I have them connected to my MPC One for music production. I’m very happy with my purchase of them and have been serving me very well over the last year or so. If you’re in the market for some great studio monitors and have a little bit extra to spend, cop a pair of these Rokits and you’ll be golden. Til next time….
